Book number 10 of 2023... spotted this in my local library and had to give it a go! A great story with a fantastic, unexpected twist at the end! @cjtudor is a new author on my "must read" list π
Start of term is a great time to get your mini whiteboard routines sorted. I've been training all my classes on how we use them in my classroom. Will reap the rewards as we go through the year ππ»

I use the previous years email as my template and just update the links, they literally get a list...handbook here, curriculum play here...I send enough novels through the year so like to keep this one simple πππ
Head of Department? Subject Leader? Here's a start of term top tip that my team have told me they really appreciate...send one email with all the useful links your team might need! Data trackers, curriculum plan, department handbook etc all in one place ππ» @HoDSciSci
@Miss_Crofts I like FIFA, it's really clear and students remember it. If you're looking at this across ALL maths skills, so speak to your maths department and try to align the language used when teaching maths skills. Also talk to your team about embedding maths skills throughout science.
Book number 8 of 2023! Borrowed this from my local library ππ» absolutely loved it! Very much the genre I enjoy π kept me gripped throughout! Highly recommend ππ»ππ»ππ» @callytaylor
A great blog from @Jobaker9 on learning student names. Knowing and using students names is the foundation of great relationships in our classrooms. It's their identity and shows that we care and that they matter to us.
How I learn a class of names in 5 mins. I wrote this a few years ago, but have used this popular method for over 20 years.
