I hear anger about this shady deal even in parts of the province a long, long way from Ontario Place.
It represents some of what’s wrong with this gov’t: cronyism, rigging the system to help a select few of their friends, public dollars subsidizing massive corporations.

An night pass of the International Space Station over the Earth.
You can see the airglow illuminating our thin atmosphere, cities, lightning and stars. A universe full of stars

Does Ontario need to build on the greenbelt to ease the housing crisis? Experts - including me - say no.
There are many reasons why we are not meeting our housing targets but the availability of land is not at the top of that list.
* elongated and and costly approvals process
* exceptionally high government fees, including HST
* skilled labour shortage
* high cost of construction
"We moved too fast and their were flaws in the process BUT..." what a load of crap. They gave access to select group of developers who stand to make BILLIONS. They broke a promise, broke all rules of due diligence, got caught and are racing to cover it up. #GreenbeltGrab#OnPoli

A point that is largely misunderstood by those outside of education. One of the most common misconceptions I hear from non-teachers is the idea that we just have a big binder of lessons that we just open each day and follow a script. 1/3
ERs in places like Almonte, Chesley and Carleton Place are closing temporarily and Minden's ER has permanently closed. Meanwhile @fordnation found millions for the ER closest to his cottage. All communities deserve access to health care. #onpoli#onhealth https://t.co/S7sdJn5Mrf
A good reminder: most of the hands-on, amazing learning materials that children enjoy in #OntEd are purchased by educators with our own money.
We continue to prop up an underfunded system because we love our students and don’t want them to suffer as a result of cuts.
Have you visited your child’s classroom and admired the full shelves and colourful walls? Unless you are a teacher/have lived with a teacher you may not realize that SO MUCH of what you see was provided (often at personal cost) by education staff. Shame on Ford and Lecce. #onted
Ford's appeal of the Bill 124 ruling that favoured workers is an attack on public sector workers. This attack is by default an attack on women and disproportionately racialized women says @SheilaBlockTO in this ETFO feature https://t.co/MHavqCN4pL #onpoli#EnoughIsEnough
I’m so sick of seeing the “teachers quit cause of bad admin” posts.
No. Teachers ALSO quit because…
- wage isn’t livable
- no support from school board
- parents who work against them
- unrealistic expectations
- unlivable work hours
And MANY other things.
Can we stop acting like everything is the admin fault? Yes, there are TERRIBLE admin out there. But there are so many areas we can work on instead of always placing the blame in one place.
