I wish more women were open and honest about how hard it truly is. I’m so excited to meet my baby, and I know it will all be worth it in the end. But I truly cannot imagine going through this if it wasn’t my choice. If I didn’t want this. If I couldn’t afford the healthcare.
If pregnancy has shown me anything, it’s that no one, and I mean NO ONE, should be forced to endure this against their will. I wanted this baby and I am borderline miserable. The pro-life argument that one could just carry to term, adopt out, and move on, is absolutely absurd.
When the reality is, behind closed doors we are going through the most physically challenging thing a body & mind can go through: literally growing an entire human being. Society sees pregnancy as a normal part of life when it is anything but normal. It’s magical but exhausting.
I’ve reached the point in pregnancy where the grocery store cashier asked if I needed help out to my car today. So I guess I look really pregnant now. 😂
