@Positivteacha We should challenge rolled & short skirts in girls in the same way we challenge untucked shirts/lack of ties in boys. A uniform code states the uniform is worn a certain way and that is what we take to task regardless of our views on the appropriateness of the length of skirt

@danicquinn I’m in SLT and my husband is in the army. Nursery drop off at 7am and pick up at 6pm (my daughter is 2). We juggle early starts and late finishes between up but requires sacrifices at times.

@ftm_x_o @ShakinthatChalk I have a 2 yr old, life is busy enough without the added pressure of trying to do “home learning” as well. Most parents wouldn’t see this as suggestions and feel the pressure to do it. Plus I don’t have the supplies at hm to do these activities. The grammar upsets me greatly too

@mr_man_maths We have lowered ours this year from 7 to 6 so we were in line with other local 6th forms. I would take a hard working 6 than a lazy 7/8 any day.

@edsouthall Even in the midst and a gas and air brain fog whilst giving birth, at 23:30 I remember thinking that I really wanted my daughter to be born on the 23rd not the 24th because 23 is prime. She arrived at 23:50!

@nicole_cozens @Advanced_Maths I think it also depends on your credentials, I’m a maths teacher, with a maths degree, in some schools where I’ve worked, I’m the only one with the subject knowledge to teacher Higher let alone FM.

@KerryDunton @missradders @Sheena2907 This was one of my roles last year on SLT. All centralised. HoDs set out what hwk would be set each 1/2 term based on a 2 wk rota and this was shared with students and parents. KS3 hwk completed on online platforms. Lots more that we introduced. @najourno @maternityCPD I went back when my LO was 3 months. Other than all the fab advice here, I found that when I went back, I wrote down EVERYTHING, a lot more than I did before. The mental space of planning for another human is astounding and it helped me keep everything straight in my head
