BREAKING Moscow confirms 2-month extension of the Grain Deal that was set to expire May 18. It includes the transport of grain, food & fertilizers via the Black Sea from 3 ports.

Some analysts say this shows weakness because Ukraine hasn’t been respecting their end of the deal. But many analysts fail to understand Russia is extremely diplomatic and will not respond impulsively which is exactly what the west wants. Here’s why this makes sense:

✅ Exposes the West was using grain deal against Russia as a crutch, while refusing to give it to poorer countries, mainly in Africa, in need. That can no longer be weaponized.

✅ Cements Turkey & Erdogan’s leadership in helping to secure the grain deal, especially KEY coming into round 2 of run-off presidential election; will help secure a likely victory. Erdogan is the leader of Turkey & Turkey is a key ally to Russia right now. It’s in their interest to maintain this alliance & that will only be maintained as strongly with him rather than his opponent.

✅ Russia cited some negotiations have even achieved, so this buys time for further negotiations and new avenues, & puts focus off it & more on what Russia needs to accomplish militarily. It also doesn’t hurt them economically.
