And how many months does it take to repave Glenmore Causeway. It should have been done in a weekend, working 24/7 with adequate resources. What is the cost of time to everyone not to mention the cars idling for hours! Where is the oversight on the work the city does. And quality control. If you look at the new pavement on Glenmore now, you can see undulations that with heavy traffic will be beat into potholes in a year.
I participated in a study around 1988 at the University of Alberta, where we cycled at threshold for an hour each day. I believe the study was set up to find how that would impact the muscle composition. At the beginning of the study, I did a VO2 max test if I recall, and had a quadriceps biopsy, which was a cool experience :-) Unfortunately I had to drop out of the study at midterms because the study was essentially "how to overtrain", and I was getting exhausted. I've never seen the results of it.
Perhaps naïvely when I was younger, I thought unbiassed journalism existed. Now it's rare with any of the mainstream media. Articles that are "news" would have been called editorials years ago. @TheHubCanada
“The largest private news outlets in the country are seeing millions of dollars in government-orchestrated payments landing in their bank accounts as they report on the campaign, the parties, their policies, and leaders.” – Rudyard Griffiths & @Sean_Speer
Here's what's surreal. Chiang knew his wisecrack would not be seen as "controversial" in the Mandarin bloc that controls the GTA Liberal machine; it's only revolting to normal people. Also *everybody* knows Carney is Beijing's guy in Canada and Chiang is Beijing's guy in Markham.
Everybody.
Surprised to see some journalism colleagues shrug about plagiarism (whether merited in Carney's case or not).
If any of us do it, and are found out, we're fired and unlikely to work in journalism ever again. Academia is the same. It's a big deal.
