Have now been speaking with the @Telstra rep for the last 20 minutes troubleshooting the issue and they now advise "I'll need a little bit of time to understand what's happened here, so would you mind if I take 5-10 minutes to dig deeper and investigate?" I'm speaking to AI right
Now the 3rd @Telstra chat agent is telling us to unplug again.
My friend, I have unplugged and replugged everything so many times I'm surprised the modem isn't on fire from all the friction.

1st chat agent says 4g is completly down.
2nd chat agent says 4g is fine but he can't help me any further.
Twitter guy says we can only complain on chat, but they wont let us.
No NBN due to the outage, no 4g backup due to god knows why and @Telstra have no clue.
Update on the @Telstra shitshow.
Twitter guy can't help me because it takes 24hrs after someone authorizes a contact to show up.
Phone agent tells Dad that there's nothing wrong with the 4g backup (a speed test of 0.01mbps begs to differ).

Alright @Telstra I don't normally Tweet, but this is ridiculous. Internet has been down since 9am on Friday. Was estimated to be restored by 5pm Friday, then 5pm Saturday and now no estimate.
You charge top price for a "premium service". The 4g backup is also useless.
