Today my friend Benji and I will kick-off a once in a lifetime expedition in the Peruvian Andes:

What's it about?

🎯 Summit Alpamayo Mountain (5947m), considered by many "the most beautiful mountain on earth". The summit attempt is planned for August 7th.
🏔️ The standard ascent involves 450–400 m of steep snow and ice, usually between 50°–60° in angle. Near the summit, we'll face sections reaching 70–80°, and even vertical ice pitches

🇧🇮 Both Benji and I are board members of @ASUong , an NGO that supports social projects in Burundi, the poorest country in the world. These projects range from schools, hospitals, to sports facilities and are always co-developed with local institutions and individuals
💡 We want to help the Batwas community to move from mud-and-adobe houses to dignified homes made of brick, with metal sheet roofing and adequate living space
✨ We have started a donations campaign to raise the funds needed to build 2 new homes for 2 Batwa families - €3500. We kickstarted the campaign in our socials, and have already reached 66% of the campaign, with 40 different donors.
