Finally the main @AllenCoralAtlas paper is out! The paper acts as a scientific reference and summary of the ACA, including global reef extent, and the distribution of benthic and geomorphic class. Congratulations to paper lead @mitchest and the ACA team. https://t.co/oF8xdUPnZy
@HugePossum@ConversationEDU All good points. Let's also push govt (hard!) to support land owners and managers - for better or worse we have the lion's share, so surely we have commensurate potential for conservation or regeneration...

Just published: coastTrain is a free training library designed to support efforts to map and conserve coastal ecosystems. It contains >190,000 records for 7 coastal ecosystems from Global Mangrove Watch, Allen Coral Atlas and Global Intertidal Change. https://t.co/a7beZdBl9U
The first wave of our #CoralChampions list is here! Read up on the 16 inspiring people and teams working hard to protect, promote and propagate one of the world's most diverse ecosystems 🌊🪸💙 #LoveCoral

@mitchest discusses the methods behind the development of the @AllenCoralAtlas including the fact that the team used over 2.25 million satellite images! 🛰🌏🪸🐠
Mind blown! 🤯 it’s incredible that we have sufficient compute to be able to achieve this! #AEO22
@outakilta@QuollTracks@EuanRitchie1 Cheers, will read also. I've used low levels of SSP to combat low fertility exotics (lovegrass/ser tussock) in degraded wood and grasslands with mixed success. Defo gives some natives a leg up but stray clover dominates with the super. If you do develop trials, I'll have a crack!
As you might have gathered, I'm a little fired up about the Essendon FC situation right now. Here's a few more thoughts about THAT video the club released on Monday, another spectacular misreading of the mood of the fan base.
