Mythos is not magic. It’s not a doomsday device. It’s the first of many models that can automate cyber tasks (just like coding).
OpenAI’s GPT-5.5-cyber can now do the same. And all the frontier models (including those from China) will be there within approximately 6 months.
It’s important to recognize that these models do not create vulnerabilities; they discover them. The bugs are already in the code. Using AI to discover and patch them will actually harden these systems.
The leap from pre-AI cyber to post-AI cyber means that there will be a big upgrade cycle. After that, however, the market is likely to reach a new equilibrium between AI-powered cyber-offense and AI-powered cyber-defense.
Obviously it’s important that cyber defenders get access before cyber attackers. That process is already underway but needs to happen quickly (see point above about Chinese models).
Unlike Mythos, GPT-5.5-cyber appears not to be token constrained so it may be the first cyber model that defenders actually get to use.

US Grid Expansion
Over the past 15 years the US grid has expanded by 36% going from 972GW to 1,322GW capacity.
But maybe the bigger story is the growth of projects waiting in the queue to connect to the grid?
The US has almost 2x its current power generation capacity waiting in the queue for grid connections.
America’s grid infrastructure is not the infrastructure it needs. The grid is both unsuitable for;
i) the level of expansion needed.
ii) the level of expansion already in the queue.
America needs long distance HVDC infrastructure spanning multiple Wide Area Synchronous Grids.
This estimate shows a new AP1000 reactor coming in cheaper than recent offshore wind costs for the Atlantic coast, without moving to the rightmost two (optimistic) columns (and it would deliver more value per MWh). Notable for those in NE and Mid-Atlantic considering future energy options.

A very important question by a JPM analyst in Wistron's Q3 call yesterday, which has been circulated in the supply chain since October.
"NVIDIA appears to be planning a major shift in its business model—moving away from selling the board (Bianca Port UPB) and instead directly supplying Level-10 systems.
- My first question is:
Because we are currently also delivering Level-10 systems to our major U.S. customer, if NVIDIA begins supplying Level-10 systems directly, how should we adjust our business model with this U.S. customer?
- My second question is:
Looking at it from the opposite angle, NVIDIA supplying Level-10 systems directly could actually be beneficial for NVIDIA’s suppliers—and we are one of the few suppliers included."
Wistron: "Let me address the first point: it’s not appropriate for me to comment on our customer’s business model. What I can say is that regardless of whether it’s NVIDIA or any of our other customers, and regardless of who the end customer is, the work is still done by Wistron.
