@LongSheila13@espn The ability to compete in MLB baseball is an audaciously rare talent. If you like dancing masquerading as baseball…fine, but if you’re interested in the game of baseball at the highest level, these guys are no where close.
@LongSheila13@espn Better than MLB’ers….dancing? These entertainers make about $90K (according the team itself)… the median salary in MLB is $1.4M… I’m sure you’re right, they’re better, but love dancing and parlor tricks more than a $1.3M pay increase.
@DbacksOnSI Funny that everyone’s talking about whether on not Burnes will opt out after this season… Every single player will be ‘opted’ out after this season…’Opted out’ by the lockout
@DbacksStatsInfo This last year of (Gallen) free agency should have been the final red flag for this club. No other team saw him as a top of the rotation option…Signing him was Jordan Montgomery all over again. Dumb
@MissionTrader@esidery Well, that dude’s gonna be 38 when the season starts…he can still play at a high level (when healthy), but the last three teams he’s been on have gone nowhere, and his injury problems will only get worse from here. ‘Multiple’ first rounders doesn’t seem prudent
@Tesla trying to buy one of your cars and I’m hung up with a glitch…It’s impossible to get a live agent… super frustrating for someone who’s trying to give Tesla $50K
@Gambo987 If club decisions (for pretty much any pro sports team that didn’t win a championship) were made collectively by the fans, teams would turn over leadership every single year.
@TrillBroDude Perhaps not… but that’s not really the point. Freedom of speech does not supersede voluntary employment agreements. Directly or indirectly, he accepted terms of employment. He then violated them, which has a consequence. As a free consumer, you can boycott PHNX sports.
@d6ook It’s America, you can say pretty much anything you want (and I celebrate that), but it also means that your employer can terminate your voluntary employment arrangement when your speech damages their business
@autumntjohnson@azcentral Unless your business is politics, best keep politics out of your business (entirely). Sports (participation and fandom) is supposed to be an escape from the hardships inevitably associated with life. It’s a rich American tradition designed to bind us (not divide us).
