@selene_colburn #1- Ability to go remote and have the days count like the last 2 years. No applying for waivers, just count remote days. If the legislature can go remote, so should schools have that option. #2- see #1
@GovPhilScott why is the legislature allowed to work remotely when schools are not allowed to count remote days? Rising numbers of cases are impacting learning and schools should have the same option as legislators.

Vermont middle level educator here... thanks for all the ideas. Whenever I’m teaching civics someone says they hate politics... I always say I teach government not politics... stick to the facts and compare what is happening to what the constitution says #sschat
Proud of my 8th graders for sending their ideas about the #electoralcollege to their local or VT representatives, @SenatorLeahy@SenSanders @PeterWelch. They really engaged in the topic and have some great ideas, thank you @icivics and @astartingpoint for incredible resources!
Love this podcast... and this one is FANTASTIC for parents and teachers especially. So grateful that @daxshepard shared this fellow VT middle school teacher and superstar with me!
We have a fantastic expert on today. Jessica Lahey, teacher and author of The Gift Of Failure, chats with us about when and how parents should just butt out! She offers wonderful advice on childhood development and parental involvement. Please enjoy @jesslahey :)
