Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards. I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds. Please share - I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?
Day 225: A bittersweet day as I close one chapter and begin another. Monday, after almost 10 years at CHC, I start a new position in Avon! I’m so grateful for the friendships I have made and the experiences that have shaped me into the teacher I am today. #GollenLife2021
👀 Always a good reminder how lucky we were that day! 🙏🏼 13 years ago, this was our living room (and our front bedroom) where we were hanging out that stormy night. 🌬 ⛈ 🌳 If you look closely, near the front door, you can see the end of the brown couch we were sitting on.
Happy Father’s Day to this guy. He stepped in when he could have easily moved on. He’s our go-to-fix-anything kind of man. A big kid at heart. One of the hardest working men I know. The kids are so blessed to have you as a bonus dad. We love you!
Day 153: I stole this picture from my mom. Uncle Randy visited my parents, who are watching the kids. Lily loves her crazy uncle (who is deaf and blind), sat down and signed with him. 💜 #GollenLife2021
👀 Read this‼️ New or experienced teachers and leaders. Doing the job of two people, going home and being a single mom of 3 was exhausting. Check in and follow through. Simple gestures mean the most! #TeacherAppreciationWeek

Day 118: I get frustrated with their constant fighting and overlook some of the best things about them. Tonight, Lily and MJ earned the Merit Award at AWANA. I’m so proud of all three of these kids. #GollenLife2021
Day 110: When your best friend and co-worker was on maternity leave for what seemed like an eternity, you have that “heart-to-heart connection” and wear the same outfit from head to toe! 😂 (white shoes, dark pants, white top and a Jean jacket) #GollenLife2021
