First night of the Chesterton Summer League. Mostly watched a half of a few games.

Munster was up 19 at half over LaPorte. Good to see @Coach_Hackett guys in good form, and I might pick his brain on if he's pairing actions on his 5-out or are kids making reads. Either way, impressive.

Michigan City rolled over Illiana Christian. Back end of the bench for both teams by the time I got there.

East Chicago's young group of sophomores were fast and efficient vs. 21st Century. Mekhi Gillis and Zayden Johnson pressured the whole court. Naji Meux shot well. They each were finished over bigger defenders in transition. Add Jamal Backstrom to the list of 2029 kids.

21st lost a lot of firepower from last year, but Kayleb Young was a bull in china shop. ECC's guards controlled most of the action, but Ryan Mosley and Antonio Ruffin made plays in transition.

Gary Lighthouse blew out both of their opponents. Juniors, Solomon Williams and McLynerd Bond, along with senior guard Isaac Browder were too much defensively vs. Morgan Township. Lighthouse's 6'8" sophomore, Corey Brown, and Myshawn Dawson, 6'6" junior, who transferred in from Michigan City, were big around the basket on both ends.

The anticipated matchup of the night was Chesterton vs. Gary West... 1/2
