Thanks @edpuzzle for providing so many great resources. I am able to find videos that are directly related to the topic I am teaching. The questions embedded into the videos ensure students are demonstrating understanding. Also great to assign when you have a sub!

Thanks to @IXLLearning's Spark Studio, I was able to create a Jeopardy game with comprehension questions directly related to the novel we read in class. My students loved it and it was a great way to assess their understanding!

@MrFritz8 I agree. When the curriculum requires so much information to know and learn, teachers and students can struggle to process everything and inhibit their opportunity to learn and ask big questions
@dmfouts A5: the content was interesting to them and if I can have the resources and technology to make the content interesting to the students #sschat
@dmfouts A4: Foster background knowledge and relate activity to the students. Presenting the info in engaging ways and encouraging students to think outside the box can help them develop creative thoughts #sschat
@dmfouts As a future special educator, my students may not understand the complexity of these questions. I think it is important to take small steps first and scaffold them to equip them with the knowledge to answer big questions #sschat
@dmfouts A1: Big questions give the direction to the discussion and are pivotal to understand how a particular theme fits in with the curriculum standards #sschat
@dmfouts A1: Maggie McClowry. I am a student at the U of I in Urbana-Champaign. I am a prospective Special Educator and I strive to help my students learn in all content areas, including social studies. #sschat
@Todd_Lash A4: I first need to assess what my students know and what they don't know. With these results, I'll then prepare a plan of what areas I need to focus on in which I can then implement appropriate technology. I want the technology I use to be a benefit for the students #sped312chat
@Todd_Lash A3: How can teachers implement technological knowledge into the classroom if they do not have the experiences or resources to do so? #sped312chat
@Todd_Lash A2: Digital technology gives students more ways to explore and express their learning rather than traditional ones which tends to use very straightforward techniques. How can classrooms utilize more digital technologies despite having a lack of resources? #sped312chat
@Todd_Lash A1: A1: One misconception that pre-service teachers have about technology in the classroom is that it can used for the wrong reasons but with more experience they will better understand how to implement #edtech#sped312chat
