Crazy thing about America is that if you want to be worth $10mm there’s literally every opportunity to do so with perseverance. Thats if money is the goal. The bad thing is if you just want to live a balanced, healthy life - it’s way harder than Europe
@elonmusk can get us to mars, but he can’t make X good again?
What happened to funny twitter & no bots? At this point golf and fintwit are the only reasons I stick around.
I still think Trump will end the war by 4th of July. Call it mid June. He has no leverage with oil & knows it. Think he is looking for a certain “win” to brand it & then celebrate “end”. Truly think this is going thru his mind. His marketing brain ..
@AdamSinger The exclusive blueprint/architect just for you. Ha. Doors from Home Depot. Sauna from Finlandia. As long as you have a decent contractor they’ll be able to knock it out.
Legendary Houston angler Gus Pangarakis, right, with a 551 .lb Goliath Grouper that he caught while fishing from Bettison's Pier on Galveston's North Jetty. That's right: he hooked and landed this fish with a rod and reel right there on the coast. At the time, it set state and world records as the heaviest of its kind taken on rod-and-reel. The world record stood until it was surpassed by a 680-pounder caught in 1961. Gus caught many tremendous fish from on Galveston's piers and jetties, including a tiger shark that weighed more than 1,000 pounds and a sawfish that was 14'7" long and weighed 736 .lbs. Gus joined the U.S. Army during W.W. II and later became a firefighter in Houston. Sometime in the late 1940s, Gus went bay fishing on a boat with a buddy and the boat capsized. I'm not sure if the buddy drowned or not, but for whatever reason Gus never fished again. As a lifelong fisherman, that strikes me as sad. Gus died in 1980.
Took my first few runs at Rodeo Dunes this week. It’ll be fun to see this place grow into itself. Think it’s set to age like a fine wine. Needs some aging. It’s like a 2021 barolo. Good now, better each year.
