@joenatoli@tha_buffalo I can't believe "what if his arm is never the same again" is still treated like a question seeking an answer. Stick a fork in this dude.
@ClankerEddy@anthonyVslater Oh for sure, it's just almost impossible to build that level of depth from scratch in one summer. OKC's bench is loaded with guys who were FRPs or would be very pricey on the open market. I think the Dubs could improve the bench a lot, but to that level seems pretty unrealistic.
@ClankerEddy@anthonyVslater Realistically, how many teams in the league can go .500 with just the bottom 9 guys on the roster? That seems like something only a handful of teams could do.
@TicTacTitans It's also super funny because it's not like Brady was the traitiest QB of all time. The guys who always get brought up with natural talent are like Marino, Mahomes, Rodgers, Elway, Luck, etc.
@speechboy71@aseitzwald Gideon was also up consistently in basically every poll for 6 months prior to the 2020 election. I remember she was up by over 10 points in one of the polls with likely voters at some point. Collins was always going to be an extremely tough out.
@ASDem Dems should be learning something from every campaign and what animates different parts of the electorate. Just dismissing things as one-offs and unserious is how things metastasize and get worse.
@BigLegendD@TicTacTitans Titans are still a couple years away unfortunately. Would be way too costly in terms of draft compensation for what the team could realistically do the next season or two.
@tootmcboots@GaryPetersonUSA Fun fact, Jason Bourne was actually trying to reconnect with Odysseus in Mykonos at the end of the Bourne Identity but the studio couldn't land the IP rights
@LastDodo4@anthonyVslater This is it. Those 3 basically account for 90% of the salary cap, the Dubs have built their team in a high-variance style given the assets they've moved that basically depends on everyone being healthy, but that's how it is when you build around a 38-year old. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@TicTacTitans Think there is also a difference between SOS and quality of defenses faced (particularly when you're trotting out a rookie QB with no playmakers)
@Tdotodot70 The position was completely nuked prior to this offseason. I think at the very least, they have good depth pieces and hopefully a 2/3. Don't have the big edge unless one of the guys takes a huge leap but for all these bad position rooms (WR, edge, etc.) they're multiyear reboots.
@ASDem@JonesOnTheNBA Definitely would have been more attainable this year than last because he had such a rough shooting year, but you're spot-on about the salary issues. Just impossible to make the money work, sigh.
@Cerrone_Battle@ringer@FDSportsbook I think it's also how each guy finished. Kon kinda slumped (for him) in March & April, Flagg put up like 23/7/5 with a bunch of defensive highlights. Makes it a lot easier for writers to go with the guy who finished strong.
