Thank you for sharing. A wonderful essay. Today really is a day for memories. Many times we experienced this love & warmth too - where my Mum was part of the ‘family’, and I was brought into it too…part of the caring team. They also felt a great sense of loss when she died.

Reading these made me remember how uncertain it was every week - for all. Unbelievable how it all was really, and the isolation was very difficult to bear. So hard for everyone involved - care home residents, families and the staff
