@TsundokuSensei They play in Houston tonight but wasn’t able to make it. They only did a handful of shows last year but well over 30 this year. Must of the venues they play hold a few thousand at most.

My wife got me that Globex pin as an early birthday gift. This one showed up today.  

On May 7, 1992, Gorbachev walked the CME floor with chairman Jack Sandner and they made him an honorary member. He joked he might collapse the place. This original pin is the handout from that morning.

My wife found this for my birthday. An original pin they were handing out on the CME floor during the day June 25, 1992, ahead of Globex going live that evening.

That first overnight did 1,893 contracts. Almost all Yen and Deutsche Marks. Now CME does around 30 million a day and trillions in notional.

She knew what it would mean.

A coffee machine doing a terabyte is wild.

My Samsung TV did 11.3 TB in 30 days. Mostly download. We barely had it on.

I’m not a tech guy. It “just worked” so I never looked. Found it in the router app by accident. Factory reset + turning off the viewing/ad stuff and it dropped to basically zero.

Your Keurig was uploading. Mine was quietly downloading a library every month.

If I try testing the handle on my old Lexus RX350 after locking with key fob and still have the key fob in my hand or pocket it’s sensed by the vehicle and unlocks the door for me to open. So the “confirm it’s locked” step just turns into another unlock, and I end up standing there re-locking it while the car politely pretends it never heard me. My OCD has now decided the car is gaslighting me.

@PGH_Geo @optionsbbq @united @Delta My wife’s on United IAH to New Orleans 3-4 times a month to company HQ. Starlink’s been on most of those lately and she loves it. Makes the flight actually usable.

The wife and I had season tickets during the 2000’s and early 2010’s. There was an uptick in attendance during Case Kennan’s and also Kevin Sumlin’s years. The 2011 gates for Keenum’s senior season (12–0 regular season, College GameDay in town):

The way I think about it: equity is still oil, just with a balance sheet in front of it.

Low-leverage major keeps paying at $60. Levered E&P is the strip plus a covenant problem.

I frame it less as names vs the contract and more as who's still writing checks if the back of the curve is right.

@BlakeMathewsWX I remember them opening up the contraflow lanes heading north on I-45 in Montgomery County just north of The Woodlands at FM1488. We were the second vehicle let on when opened up. It was smooth sailing then.
