There is too much at stake in the fight against HIV/AIDS to jeopardize one of the best tools we have over partisan fights.
20 years ago, @PEPFAR was born out of hard-fought compromise. Congress must find a way, once again, to keep us on the path of progress.
AIDS is an injustice because today we have tools for prevention, testing & treatement. Yet last year we had 1.5m people were newly infected with HIV, and AIDS took 650,000 lives. When you peel that and see who is dying, you see that #inequalites are at the root.
