#Syria: a newly released video by the Civil Defense shows that Russia came close to collapsing the Rastan Viaduct in December 2024, using a bunker-buster bomb.

The bomb, which targeted a pillar, is seen passing through the bridge deck and detonating in the ground below, narrowly avoiding the collapse of the viaduct.

Rastan Viaduct reopened last week after one year of rehabilitation work.

تتمتع هضبة الجولان بأهمية استراتيجية وعسكرية فائقة لكونها حصناً بركانياً طبيعياً يرتفع نحو ألف متر عن سطح البحر، مما يمنح الطرف المسيطر عليها إشرافاً عسكرياً وبصرياً مباشراً يتحكم في خطوط الدفاع عن دمشق التي لا تبعد عنها سوى 60 كيلومتراً، وفي الوقت نفسه يكشف كامل منطقة الجليل وشمال فلسطين، فضلاً عن كونها خزاناً مائياً حيوياً يضم منابع الأنهار الإستراتيجية المغذية لنهر الأردن وبحيرة طبريا، مما يحولها من مجرد أرض جغرافية إلى محور رئيسي للسيطرة وللتحكم بالخطوط المائية في المنطقة.

ومهما حاول كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بأن الجولان المحتل جزء من كيانه المزعوم ستبقى الجولان أرضاً سورية محتلة لا يسقط الحق فيها بالتقادم ويجب دوماً الحديث عن الجولان وعدم التنازل عنه بعد أن تخلى عنه آل الأسد المجرمين في مثل هذا اليوم .
