@sensitveyungbih I'm even optimistic that by the second half of the century India will surpass China's economy, well, as long as their neighbors don't chimp out launch a suicidal war against them
@sensitveyungbih It's over, China will stagnate 90s Japan style, but since Japan was an US ally at least they bailed them out a few times after that while they'll punish China to make sure they're never a threat again
@n30n5223434@GermaniaZongdu Considering the biggest song in Turkey right now is an english song with turkish girls twerking and saying Mashallah I don't think the seculars lost the culture war
@Aaronal16 I don't see how that's going to last, the US had some periods where they cut down on immigration like the 1920s but they always opened up to it again, especially now that the US is going to face natural decline within a decade
@cayko24022022 I'm curious to see how a country that has tens of thousands of american troops and has literally no control over their own military on wartime can drift away from the american sphere of influence without commiting national suicide
@ayatr0llah@blob_watcher Turkey is 10-15 years away from facing a huge demographic crisis so if they want to act it needs to be in that time window (unless they go crazy and import 1m arabs per year but they're too nativist to do that)
@ayatr0llah At this point I feel when they realize the way this was is going isn't sustainable for them they'll launch a full scale invasion of a GCC country, the US won't accept any deal and I'm not sure how else Iran can save face
@Aaronal16 The craziest thing is that both these countries have about 80% of out of wedlock births and still have a birth rate that low, a massive blackpill for the rest of the third world outside LATAM who's much more conservative about that
@AngelicaOung I wonder how they would react if they found out that a few centuries later Japan's constitution would be established by MacArthur who was a devout christian and wanted all of Japan to be christianized
@AmericaExpanded True multipolarity looks like the USSR being able to prop up multiple anti american regimes in America's backyard, like in Nicaragua and Cuba, I'm still waiting for China to do anything close to that to prove their dominance
@Aaronal16 I doubt that will work but they still have the option to try and bring in tons of immigrants from Ukraine, Belarus and many non european countries
@DavidLiptonWI Birth rates aren't everything but they're a good way to show where your civilization is heading towards, especially among developed countries
@DavidLiptonWI Back in the 60s, the EEC had more births than the US and that's around the same time they were still able to hold their own against the US as we can see in the chicken war, today the US has more births than the EU, even with new countries added and completely dominates them
@mikitaposts That rivalry was only close for like... a few years? By the early 70s already the USSR had to beg the US for wheat exports otherwise they'd be starving once again
