@RobertaSchell @picardonhealth It is okay for the patient to be on short term disability and sick leave and in pain; okay to have his surgery cancelled 3 times, but it is not okay for their insurance to pay for their surgery at a private centre to be able to have them back on their feet sooner!!
@RobertaSchell @picardonhealth It is okay for patients to pay prescription fee, while waiting for a procedure done! It is okay for their insurance to pay for narcotics while waiting for surgery! But it is not okay for them or their insurance to pay to have the surgery sooner! Only makes sense in Sweden!
@Vetivera24 Public system is good, as long as our politicians don't have to wait for their treatment!! as long as they don't have to share the same pain our patients have to go through! As long as they don't have to wait days after days for for a long term care bed availability!
@RobertaSchell @picardonhealth The issue: they try to solve the problem under the umbrella of exclusive universal health care. Look around the world! it has not worked, any where! There has to be parallel systems. Even the private system has salaried physicians, who are incentivized by their productivity.
@RobertaSchell @picardonhealth For Salaried MDs, they should be provided with staff, and expenses of practice.
For FFS MDs, there should be regular audits of the bills and documents, so nobody gets ripped off!
@gforbes Armed forces should always be under supervision of civilians, never be allowed to judge or make laws. It is sad that this has been silently changing.
There is already some debate as to what to do with people who want to smoke at work. What if they have a prescription and consider this therapeutic.? Can hospitals deal with a nurse who smokes on his break? Or a police officer on his break? Remember, they carry a gun... https://t.co/wLGKYj3c6y
I'm impressed how far you could actually stretch the truth by changing the naming system. It is not elective, it is "Scheduled". in this terminology elective is plastic surgery! https://t.co/D3TF7zcCVb
