The Kia ad is going to bother me. The message was that all a homeless youth needs to do is work hard and they’ll get out of homelessness. Because bootstrapping is already a dominant paradigm that hurts efforts to help homeless youth, Kia’s ad reinforced a harmful belief. #adbowl
