Maryland football led Rutgers, 23-13, with 58 seconds left in the first half Saturday, then gave up 24 straight points and lost 37-30 on homecoming in College Park, the latest low point in a stretch that seemingly never hits rock bottom. The Terps fell to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the Big Ten. It was their fifth consecutive loss, their 12th straight in conference play and their third in a row against the Scarlet Knights.

Not that it would've won anyone over, but this was their best chance to end their skid. Locksley called it a "very winnable game." But for the Terps of this year, and the past two years, winnable games are rarities. They've lost 17 of their past 18 Big Ten games.

No one's talking about what's wrong with the Xs and Os or the details of the losses. At this point, the only question being asked -- or more accurately, screamed constantly -- is when is AD Jim Smith going to make a coaching change? Here's the latest from sources close to the situation 👇
