CALL FOR RESIGNATION:

This man, CG Musa, was born and brought up in Sokoto State and spent most of his youthful years within a predominantly Muslim community. The Muslim community gave him shelter, supported him, and welcomed him.

Yet, his recent interview has raised serious concerns about his choice of words and the mindset behind them, particularly his reference to “our people.”

As a senior military officer, we expected that, as part of military orientation and training, there should be no room for religious or ethnic differences. The military is supposed to be an institution that brings Nigerians together, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, region or background.

So for that, as a concerned citizen, I am passing a vote of no confidence, I call on CG Musa’s immediate resignation as the Minister of Defense.

Life and its rewarding process is very funny.

How do you explain to a foreigner that El-Rufai, who stood at Chatham House and answered questions Tinubu couldn’t answer, fought a lawsuit that sought to restrict the flow of Naira against Tinubu and even protested that power must go to the South, all in his favour, is in jail?

Where as Reno Omokri, who on that same day at Chatham House was outside calling Tinubu a drug lord, and questioning his suitability to contest, and called him all manners of names just to prove that he was unfit for the position, is now an ambassadorial designate waiting for final approval.

I do not even want to talk about Daniel Bwala, who even said that Tinubu and his co-travellers were raising a militia group to disorganize Nigeria, among so many other things.

The same man currently has an office in Aso Rock.

That is how life is.

Like Achebe will say, “It is possible for a man to say yes and his chi will still say no.”
