I am stunned by Mr. Trudeau's statement that he is not fighting Indigenous children in court. In June, the federal government litigated against First Nations kids to deny them help under Jordan's Principle and to avoid paying compensation to victims of fed. discrimination.

PEI residents actually pay less in copays and deductibles than those in NS and NL. And seniors pay $0 premium and minimal copay. So my guess is this #pharmacare agreement is about bringing PEI on par for what they cover, and how...not about making drugs more "affordable".

This isn't a deal to help people pay for prescriptions, but an opportunity for PEI to add treatments to their public formulary that other provinces have had for years. It may also provide a chance for PEI to synthesize their 27 different stop gap provincial #pharmacare programs.
