π¬π²π¬π²: The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) has announced that The Gambia will transition from seven-digit to nine-digit telephone numbers starting September 4, 2026, as the existing system can only support up to 10 million unique numbers amid growing demand from mobile subscriptions, digital services, and emerging technologies, while the new plan will expand capacity to one billion numbers following consultations with the ITU and ECOWAS regulators. Subscribers will not need to change their SIM cards, phones, or service providers, as current seven-digit numbers will simply receive an additional two-digit prefix, allowing users to keep their existing airtime and services. A dual-numbering period will run from September 4 to November 30, 2026, after which only nine-digit numbers will be recognized from December 1, 2026. PURA, working with operators Africell, QCell, and Comium, is launching a major five-month awareness campaign using TV, radio, social media, and materials in local languages such as Mandinka, Wolof, Jola, and Sarahule, urging everyone to update contacts early to avoid disruptions.

Iβm questioning Sandraβs ambition from Newcastle to another failed project is crazy to me. Spurs are just throwing money around. I donβt even think Fernandez and Sandro midfield is scary.
