@Jacobtheclipper@BronGotGame How come he doesn’t just do trap bar deadlifts?
Where’s his half rack / elevated boxes to start from higher? The bench seems risky and unnecessary wear.
Risk:reward doesn’t make sense to me on that exercise w/ him.
@EricCressey, @mboyle1959 what would you coach differently?
@bibidebayo@BiggLynch@CTabatabaie@741Performance Great ball shoes. Great grip. Super comfy. Tuck the laces under the lace cover. Padding on top in case someone steps on your foot. They look cool.
@mboyle1959 It's exactly what you wrote and how you explained it in the strength coach podcast. They're either in their 20's, they train only theirselves or they've been training with barbells their whole life and they're genetically lucky or they've figured out how to be successful.
I haven't used BB's with adults in over 17 years. I agree w/ Mike. I teach Do Anywhere Workouts Using Minimal Equipment. If you program & apply resistance well, you can still build muscle, reduce injury risk, address metabolism, bone density, hormones, athleticism & performance.
Adult Clients dont need to touch a barbell.
No barbell squats
No barbell bench
No barbell deadlifts
The best part about this is that the people who argue will either be in their twenties , train themself or both. 😉
