@telegram what could be done about people abusing the spam report. They ask you to message them and you both chat, later you are being reported for spam, but you haven't messaged anyone else during that time. Is such considered as abusive behavior? What to do about that?
@ppy@tobyfox I've signed code before and it didn't stop Smartscreen. What is actually needed to bypass Smartscreen is an extended validation code signing certificate, which you cannot get as a single person.
@jamiebuilds Good luck getting it approved as a free open source software license. Also, this calls for educating open source developers, to avoid restrictive licenses in their dependency graphs, because those would hinder wide adoption. Smart people know restriction is a loss for all.
@jamiebuilds Of course you can do whatever you want with your own software. You can change the license to one that isn't FOSS, like you did, but no one can safely use your project anymore.
Thanks to the fork at https://t.co/A5BQBI85AW people can switch to a MIT-licensed alternative.
@mashable A wild guess, but spammers might have got ahold of app passwords for gmail service using malware, those do not invalidate if you change your password. This might be true if all victims have two things in common. Two-Factor auth and using an e-mail client to access gmail.
