You've never truly listened to an #album until you've closed your eyes and let your mind bathe in the #music from the moment the needle drops until it rides the label.
Seriously @AmazonUK ? You've sent me two damaged books as brand new but when I go to replace it again, you refuse offering only a refund but you still have stock, just £15 more expensive, an increase of over 41%!! I'm pretty sure Trading Standards would have some thoughts on this
@StagecoachMids Thank you. The occasional issue is to be expected, but beyond occasional late arrivals, all the other buses have been fine. But there's something about the Monday 11:40 which has just not been seen the last two weeks alone.
@StagecoachMids Whats happening with the 11:40 Monday Bidford-Stratford 28? Since starting college in September, 5 out of 12 times it's not come so I have to take an hour out of my day to get my son there. As a single working dad, this is a huge drain on my working day.
Anyone adopting products from these companies, and especially Elastic, will have to expect they will be charged at some point based on the whims of the "license of the year". (2/2)
How do they expect us to ever trust them again? This reversion three years later is awkward, but it most be noted too that they kickstarted the shift to closed source licensing that has infected most of the “our OSS is our product” businesses. https://t.co/HJyrxbew1n (1/2)
Loving the new @DOOM + DOOM II! Achieved 6 achievements in the first level, 16 by the time I finished. The IDKFA soundtrack rocks, but the fist and chainsaw achievements aren't registering.
@tom98784@jeffbarr@ranman It was such a perfect fit for audit use cases, such as tracking billable usage of our SaaS offering. The migration blog post was a joke - as much as I love Postgres, it's not an immutable ledger!
@jo_byden@jeffbarr@ranman There is truth here. I used to work for a AWS Managed Services Premier Partner and AWS was very helpful with some of our very big spend customers. At a scale up now and AWS is nowhere to be seen.
@derjanni@jeffbarr Me too. It's such a perfect for audit data and the Aurora migration post completely misses the point of having unmodifiable, write once, read many data.
@jeffbarr@ranman ... and QLDB and ...? Classic Google move and why we don't use them. I know about QLDB because we use it and have a year to get off. That's development time I could've used to try new AWS services, and I'll now be wary of surprise deprecation. Where's the customer obsession?
Go back a few years, and Heartbleed and Shellshock were a different story. The key is how you respond to these crises, and we'll learn over the coming days who has decent disaster recovery in place and who doesn't.
Seriously @AmazonUK quitting #AmazonPrime is worse than a bad break up! After cancelling you've nagged me on every screen, and now that it's over, you're offering me Prime on every screen. You're not convincing me to return, you're convincing me I need to shop elsewhere.
@scihan@kelseyhightower It's a very thought provoking book, and be hard on yourself to instill the discipline. It's remarkable how mentally refreshing things are once you've minimised.
Thanks @romero, I finally have an excuse to display my old @DOOM 2 floppies, a surviving Christmas present from 1996. I think this will look nice next to it's big box and the Sigil big boxes.
