JUST IN: Kenya has reportedly signed a minerals deal with the US valued at $62.4 billion, with reports indicating the minerals will be processed locally.
That's about KSh 9.7 trillion.
Kenya's external debt? About KSh 5.7 trillion.
Imagine having a resource capable of wiping out nearly all foreign debt and still leaving trillions on the table.
Imagine future budgets where taxes fund development instead of interest payments.
Imagine a stronger shilling.
Imagine a government that sees national wealth and thinks "debt reduction."
Now stop imagining. Wake up.
We have leaders who see national wealth and immediately start thinking about new funds, new projects, new loans, how much they can steal, and new opportunities to eat.
That is why many resource-rich countries remain poor.
@OburuF@ntvkenya The government has also failed our children, play areas are non existent- grabbed, education sector is on it's lowest, policies on children protection are misaligned with today's realities... A conversation about this is urgently needed
The Executive under William Ruto spent KSh 703 MILLION on hospitality in just 9 months.
Parliament spent another KSh 283 MILLION.
That's KSh 986 MILLION.
Almost KSh 1 BILLION.
Meanwhile, the same government allocates just KSh 95 per learner per term.
Think about what that means.
They take more taxes from Kenyans every year.
They tell us there is no money.
No money for schools.
No money for services.
No money to ease the burden on struggling families.
Yet there is nearly KSh 1 BILLION for their own hospitality.
We are being robbed.
The taxpayer works.
The taxpayer pays.
The political class eats.
KSh 95 for a child.
KSh 986 million for politicians.
That tells you everything you need to know about their priorities.
@elonmusk Approximately 12.5 million Africans were forcibly transported across the Atlantic in the transatlantic slave trade. Roughly 1.8m died during the voyage due to disease, starvation, abuse and suicide.
Sections of Uhuru Park will be hived off to "expand Uhuru Highway".
Parts of Karura Forest will be hived off "to plant tree seedlings and build rangers' accommodation units".
Parts of Nairobi National Park will be hived off "to construct parking yards for the new Bomas International Convention Centre".
Sections of Ngong Forest are being cut down for "the construction of the Ngong-Riruta rail line and an international resort and casino".
Practically every green and gazetted area within the Nairobi Metropolitan area is being targeted.
And this is place where scrutiny is highest.
Can you imagine what is happening in gazetted areas in the Rift Valley.
When pastoralists are in power, every green space is either pasture for "wega ngombe wagule yiote" or merely something to degazette, cut down and build some ugly concrete structure.
Scarcity mentality at birth.
NTV has released a disturbing report on toxic fish from Lake Nakuru, further confirming concerns we raised in April after conducting our own independent laboratory tests.
According to the report, fish samples were found to contain mercury, lead and cadmium. That should concern every Kenyan.
What many people may not know is that months ago, we collected fish samples from Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha and subjected them to laboratory analysis.
I Sholla personally organized for several samples to be shipped outside Kenya for specialized testing.
In total, we spent over KSh 250,000 on sampling and laboratory tests because we believed Kenyans deserved answers.
The results were alarming.
We detected DDT.
We detected Endosulfan.
Chemicals linked to cancer and other serious health risks.
Now add mercury, lead and cadmium to the picture, and the concerns become even greater.
We also received additional findings that were concerning enough to require further verification before publication.
When we shared our findings in April, some dismissed the warnings. Today, independent reports are beginning to validate the concerns we raised.
This is why independent testing matters.
This is why transparency matters.
And this is why consumer protection cannot be left to chance.
Much of the work we do never trends. You won't see it on TV etc. We spend our own time, effort and resources investigating issues that directly affect the health and safety of ordinary Kenyans.
Food safety is one of them.
We will continue testing, investigating and sharing findings so Kenyans can make informed decisions about what they consume.

My goal has never been fame.
The goal is simple: to help protect the health, families and future of ordinary Kenyans.
Can the government provide a clear legal, economic, and policy justification for a system in which salaried Kenyans are mandatorily taxed through the Housing Levy to finance the construction of housing on public land ; land that is collectively owned by the people of Kenya only for those same citizens to later purchase the completed units at market prices through intermediaries and developers who assume limited financial risk and add little demonstrable public value?
If the capital originates from workers' compulsory contributions and the land is already a public asset held in trust for all citizens, on what basis is private profit extracted from a project substantially financed by the public? How does such an arrangement align with the principles of equity, public interest, and accountable stewardship of public resources? More fundamentally, what distinguishes this model from a system where citizens are effectively required to pay twice ; first through taxation to finance construction, and then again through purchase payments to acquire the resulting homes?
Now that we are finally talking about school safety, the Ministry of Education must also address the madness of 3-year-old children being paraded on roads at 4:30am and 5am waiting for school buses.
This is also harming children. Maybe not death in the physical sense, but what kind of childhood is that?
A toddler should not be standing by the roadside in darkness like a factory worker reporting for duty.
Some of these school routines are quietly destroying children while adults pretend it is normal.

Read Finance Bill 2026
Reject Finance Bill 2026
One thing I’ve realized with this govt:
The louder they accuse others of something, the more likely they’re the ones doing it.
“Tribalism?”
Go listen to Hassan Omar, Aaron Cheruiyot & Farouk.
“Fake news on the Finance Bill?”
Today, we expose the lies Mbadi & the CRE graduate have been pushing. And they know what is coming.
