Together with Nikhil and the team, we have made something truly extraordinary.
Think VGGT, but way more powerful and WAY more versatile and useful.
This is a major step-up for 3D vision, and is going to be one of the major building blocks for the foreseeable future.

@ducha_aiki@amy_tabb I like the term, I think it fits pretty well with what is happening, the model is making a prediction mostly based on bias or based on weak cues.

Very clear chart: grams of CO2 emissions per kWh of electricity produced for various countries.
Probably the only problem for which "going nuclear" was the right thing to do.
@david_picard@CVPR I apologize for the tone. I see this as an opportunity to reflect on our review system. Instead I have seen some outrage at the authors in twitter! I worry about actual plagiarism that might also be seeping in. Removing the paper from the proceedings is step 0.
I see some people being condescending on Twitter about how people join {well-know tech company with bad reputation of the month}.
My take is that joining Meta / Uber / Apple etc for many:
1. Means a massive step-up in career options vs what they have
2. Means a life-changing $$
If you got into design because you wanted to use it make the world better, here's your chance, because everyone relies on Our World in Data, right up to national governments. This is the dashboard that drives change.

1. As Germany reactivates its coal-burning power stations in response to the double whammy of Putin’s threat to gas supplies and the closure of its last nuclear reactors, please remember that the harms falsely attributed to nuclear can be correctly attributed to coal. Thread/
