@drrandomguyy@YTurtle247@thunderf00t Seriously? Musk literally told us all in 2017 that his Tesla Semi is already fully autonomous then.
There's a difference between Jobs, who took a real product and made it seem more amazing than it was and Musk, who claims to have a product he doesn't have. That's the vapourware.
@_ashawndabney I don't know anyone who isn't fully vaccinated and roughly 60-70% of them have never had covid. All who did have it recovered in a few days.
@BrandonLive @amel_jsvc @Zazinat2@drrandomguyy@YTurtle247@thunderf00t Musk literally stood up in front of an audience when he announced this thing and claimed it beats rail. So you're very wrong.
TF hasn't made a gamergate video in years. Nor has anyone else I'm aware of.
@drrandomguyy@YTurtle247@thunderf00t TF debunked specific claims. That it will be more economical than rail (FFS) and existing diesel.
He based it mostly on the load capacity, which is a big factor in the economic viability of a truck.
For TF to be wrong Musk needs to do better than just release a semi.
@IrishBitcoinGuy @Padraig_C_ @davidmcw So you got lucky as an early investor in a ponzi scheme and now you think late investors deserve to lose their money? That's pretty fucked up.
@GaryMarcus Have you seen what happens when you submit the prompt "Are you a human?" to GPT3?
It seems to regurgitate word-for-word content from the websites it's trained on.
@elonmusk I'm just looking forward to a day where I can discuss literally any topic without Americans appearing to tell me I am a right-wing nazi or leftist libtard. Some positions can be arrived at by examining the facts, rather than following an in-group.
@realGeorgeHotz@ItIsFinch AI progress came from compute and data availability. There were a handful of incremental improvements, but most of it's based on decades old algorithms that we're finally able to use properly thanks to moore's law and GPUs.
@realGeorgeHotz@jamesjansson People went from having to guess what traffic is like on their commutes to real-time live traffic reporting on Google maps. That was life changing.
@realGeorgeHotz 2) Why frame it around "products" like we're still in the desktop era. The SAAS and devops world evolves in tiny increments.
Google maps introduced traffic reporting to the benefit to billions of commuters. Why does it have to be a new product to count as innovation?
@realGeorgeHotz Where to start.
1) innovation doesn't move in a atraight line. Who are you blaming for the slow down in the rate of new electrical devices being developed? An enabler like electricity, computers, internet comes along - you get a burst of innovation that tails off.
