Under the leadership of President @realDonaldTrump, the U.S. has launched sanctions targeting President @PaulKagame's proxies and associates. Nevertheless, we believe President #Kagame's strategy is to outlast President #Trump and continue strengthening Rwandan and #M23 military presence in the DRC, with the aim of destabilizing the DRC and overthrowing the democratically elected government of President Félix #Tshisekedi (@FelixUdps @Presidence_RDC).

In our view, the only effective way to end the conflict in eastern #DRC is through direct sanctions against President #Kagame, his family, and his inner circle. Until President Kagame is weakened or removed from power, we believe he will continue to present what we view as a clear and present danger to peace in the DRC and to U.S. interests in the region.

#Goma 🇨🇩 : Les Congolais ont bravé la peur pour célébrer la victoire des Léopards en face des rebelles du M23 qui occupent la ville de Goma. Ils ont entonné des chants à la gloire du président congolais, Félix Tshisekedi.

« Fatshi Béton », scandaient-ils, comme pour affirmer qu'il est impossible de diviser la RDC.

Le mythe du « Singapour de l’Afrique » s’effrite un peu plus chaque jour. Derrière le récit d’un prétendu miracle économique se cache une réalité bien moins reluisante : la contrebande et l’exploitation des minerais congolais. Les sanctions du Trésor américain annoncées aujourd’hui viennent rappeler au monde ce que les Congolais savent depuis longtemps.

Une explosion de joie a secoué le camp de Musasa, en province de Ngozi, lorsque les Léopards ont trouvé le chemin des filets. Devant les écrans géants installés à l’initiative du Président de la République, Félix Tshisekedi, des milliers de réfugiés congolais ont laissé éclater leur bonheur, chantant, dansant et scandant le nom de la RDC.

Kagame ne peut que vouloir, d’une manière ou d’une autre, en finir avec le Pr. Tshisekedi, qui met à nu et à mal les liaisons dangereuses entre le Rwanda et certains de ses partenaires.
S’il n’avait pas trouvé sur sa route le Pr. Tshisekedi, rien n’aurait filtré de tous ces déballages.
