The manipulated man by esther collar. It’s a bit long. lol.
MEN ARE NOT THE OPPRESSORS. MEN ARE THE ONES BEING EXPLOITED.
Esther Vilar exposed this in 1971 and they wanted her dead for it. A woman attacked her on live TV. That's how dangerous the truth was.
Here is her thesis, without the sugar coating:
A man is born with one purpose — to serve.
He is trained from childhood. Be strong. Don't cry. Work hard. Make money. Protect her. Provide for her. Die for her. If you do all of that, you might be called a "real man." If you don't, you are nothing. A failure. A bum. Not a man at all.
He spends 40 years breaking his back. In construction, in mines, on oil rigs, in wars. He comes home broken, with a paycheck that is never his. It goes to her house. Her kids. Her lifestyle. Her security.
And she has the audacity to call him her oppressor.
Think about it. What oppressor works 12 hours a day so the oppressed can stay home? What oppressor is told to go down with the ship while the oppressed gets the lifeboat? What oppressor pays for a house he doesn't own, for kids that will be taken from him, for a lifestyle that will be used as evidence that he was "controlling" her?
Vilar said women have 3 weapons and they never fail:
*1. PRAISE:* "You're such a good provider, honey." Translation: Keep working, slave.
*2. PRESSURE:* Nagging, guilt, tears, silent treatment until he obeys.
*3. WITHHOLDING:* Intimacy becomes a transaction. He gets it when he behaves. He loses it when he doesn't. Like training a dog.
She doesn't want equality. Equality would mean she carries the bricks. She works the sewers. She dies in the wars. She asks you out. She pays for the date. She splits rent 50/50 without complaint.
She doesn't want that. No woman ever wanted that.
What she wants is a comfortable master. A man strong enough to provide, dumb enough to believe he is in charge. A man who pays for her freedom while calling himself free.
Love? Marriage? Vilar said those were invented by women to lock down a provider for life. He thinks he chose her. No. She chose him. She audited his future income and gave him permission to serve her.
The system is rigged. He loses his kids in court and pays her to raise them. He loses his house and pays her to live in it. He loses his health and is told to "man up." And if he complains, he is called toxic, weak, insecure.
The most exploited animal on this planet is the man who believes his worth is measured by how much he can provide for a woman who secretly despises him.
Vilar's solution was brutal and true:
The only free man is the man who no longer seeks female validation.
The moment you stop needing her praise, her approval, her body you become ungovernable. You work for yourself. You live for yourself. You keep what is yours.
Until then, you are not a man. You are a resource. A utility. A wallet with a pulse.
*MEN WERE NEVER THE OPPRESSORS. MEN ARE THE EXPLOITED CLASS.*
I didn't go to college until I was 30. This gave me a chance to see it with the perspective of an adult.
One lecture in Industrial Psychology, in particular, I will never forget.
The professor spoke about how an effective job description focused on concretely measurable tasks, not vague instructions, or characteristics.
For example, "maintain an 85% or greater average on customer feedback surveys", instead of "be cheerful and upbeat", or even "interact positively with customers".
This means that goals are clear, and performance is measurable. A job is to do something, not be something.
Once some of the students had wrapped their minds around this concept, the professor decided to do a class exercise.
He asked the female students to come up with a job description for "husband". At first, this went fine. The girls noodled around a bit with things they wanted their husbands to be (tall, etc), but he was able to gradually steer them towards describing what they wanted in terms of actions.
But then he asked the male students to define a wife in the same way.
And all the girls became upset. Some of them had full-on meltdowns.
Every single thing that a male student wanted, or expected, from his hypothetical future wife was sexist, oppressive, old-fashioned, misogynistic, patriarchal, etc.
They were literally screaming. Some of them in tears.
And I realized something pretty quickly. It wasn't the actual, concrete responsibilities of the female role that they objected to.
It was the idea of there being a female role at all, with any attached responsibilities.
These women didn't want to be wives. They wanted to be pets.
What's a pet? Well a pet is not a wife, or a friend. A pet is a creature of instinct, which you bring into your home because you like how it naturally behaves.
You get a cat because you want to behave like a cat, and do things a cat naturally does, like play with string, and purr when you pet him. If he's smart, he'll adapt to you somewhat, but he doesn't have responsibilities other than "be a cat".
If you get a wife, you get a wife so she will do things for you, specific things that are the responsibilities of wife, like care for your home, bear and raise your children, cook nutritious meals so you don't have to eat processed slop, look after your emotional well-being, and so on.
These girls didn't want to be held responsible for those things. As married women, they might have anticipated doing some of them, but only some of the time. Only when they felt like it.
The cat chases the string if and when it wants to, not because chasing the string is its job.
These young millenial women didn't realize it, but they wanted to be pets. And that's what they were in their college relationships. They hung out with guys when they wanted to, had sex with them when they wanted to, broke up with them for someone new when they wanted to.
Their relationships had no element of reciprocal responsibilities. They were perfectly at home with the idea of men having responsibilities to them, but they would repay those men if they chose, and how they chose, not how the men actually wanted.
And as I've said twice already, someone you have responsibilities to, but who has none to you, is a pet, or a child.
Since our ancestors, in a moment of foolishness and weakness, allowed women to vote, it is no longer legal to dole out the corrective spankings a great many of them both need and read pornographic novels about.
Therefore, the corrective measure, for any man who finds himself with a pet instead of a wife, is to withdraw from any husbandly duties and start actively searching for alternatives.
This can either result in a correction of the behavior, or the end of a relationship that offers no value. Either is acceptable.
This may strike some of you as dishonorable, but there is no honor in keeping a broken pact, or in serving those who despise you.
Men must have the pride and self-worth to say "I will be honored and respected, or I will depart to a place where I can be, even if I must be alone there."
Men must honor and respect themselves.
Two instruments that should never meet but when they do, you get this.
The kora is 300 years old. 21 strings made from a calabash and cow skin, from West Africa.
The cello is 500 years old. 4 strings, from 16th century Europe.
Different worlds with different histories but they speak the same language.

In 1974, both governments in Cairo and Khartoum sat in a room and signed a paper. “The Sudd is wasting water. Let us dig a 360km canal from Jonglei to the Sobat. We will split the extra water 50/50.
The people of Twi East, Duk and Bor. The people whose cows drink from the toic. Whose fish breed in the Sudd. Whose history is written on water were never considered.
So, in 1974, mostly students of defunct Bor District in Juba protested over the project of canal were many of them were shot and killed by Khartoum government.
In 1978, the French company CCI shipped this behemoth from Pakistan. Guided by a laser beam, it dug 130 feet wide, 20 feet deep. It consumed 10,400 gallons of fuel a day.
However, history had already prepared a man, when a man decides to fight, he fights for something bigger than his village..
Dr. John Garang de Mabior was in Iowa State University at that time doing his PhD with thesis “Identifying, Analyzing and Evaluating Development options for The Jonglei area”. The very canal that wanted to kill his people.
the government's plan for the locals was nothing but "misery management." A few boreholes and schools to make people keep quiet while they steal Nile river to Egypt.
Dr. Garang decided to used Sudd as a yardstick.
In Nairobi, at UNEP headquarters, there was a group called the ELC. One Professor Richard Odingo of Nairobi University who in 1977 stood at a UN Conference and shouted, "Here is a canal being built that will make Africa's next desert!"
On October 1982, at the Royal Geographical Society in London, they held a meeting. Topic: "The impact of the Jonglei Canal." The white man who once wanted the canal now said, "Stop it”
When SPLA was formed on 16th May 1983 after the Bor Mutiny, the first military order was not to attack Juba. It was, Go and stop the Bucket Wheel.
In 1984, they chased the workers. CCI ran away. “makarawin” was left there, alone, rusting in the bush of Nyaken, birds nesting in its buckets. 260km of unfinished canal, disappearing under grass.
The Bucket Wheel did not cause the war alone. But it gave the war a story that the world could understand. It turned SPLA from "rebels" to "saviors of the world's largest wetland."
May the soul of a man who could have lived the life many of us only dream of, but chose instead a fight that forced him to leave his family behind.

Somebody took an aircraft tug, the kind that pushes jumbo jets around, and made it street legal. Probably. These things sit low enough to slide under the nose of a plane and weigh anywhere from 70,000 to 120,000 pounds. The Air Force version was built to tow the C-5 Galaxy. Then somebody slapped a wood deck on top and painted it like it came out of Mad Max. Not exactly sure what you'd do with it buts its cool.
