The industry couldn’t have made more noise about the crisis in our sector !@adriancummins .Decision is beyond tone deaf and once again favours the business with scale whilst ignoring the hard working people trying to make a difference to our precious hospitality landscape .
@NewstalkFM @kierancuddihy @TheHardShoulder They have been getting state exam papers printed in the uk when it came to covid the Gov used companies to supply PPE sanitizer etc. from companies that where never involved in suppling such goods the list goes on #Tenders flawed. @SimonHarrisTD@MichealMartinTD @DonnellyStephen

🚨Cost Inflation for Restaurants / Hospitality
This morning, I raised the spiralling costs associated with running a restaurant/hospitality business with Tanaiste @LeoVaradkar & Minister @cathmartingreen
Gov must support all SMEs especially those worst hit like Hospitality
Got our Electricity bill today on our new ‘best in market contract’ rate … bill has gone from €4000 a month to €7215 … nice little rise. Carnage awaits the SME sector after the summer. @EamonRyan@LeoVaradkar@MichealMartinTD
Four food premises now closed in Galway. How many more how to close before local or national Government takes action? Empty dirty buildings on every street. Something needs to be done before more close, never to reopen.
@1Hildegarde@eamonocuiv@AnneRabbitte@GalwayCityCo
I just got a call to say our electricity bill in @LemonAndDuke is going up THREE FOLD. We all ready pay €50k a year it’s not just households getting screwed it’s also businesses trying to get back up on their feet. @EamonRyan@mmcgrathtd@LeoVaradkar 🤯
Tonight is the first time I’ve been out til the 8pm closing and based on what I’ve seen it’s truly pointless. Everyone just piles into a shop to buy drinks and then heads back to a gaf to keep the night going. Surely it would make more sense for people to stay where they are?
