It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our SEBA President, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sgt. Grant Ward, who was called home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on February 1, 2026.
He passed peacefully, surrounded by his wife, two daughters and his large, loving family.
A dedicated sergeant and a tireless advocate for our members, Grant led with integrity, strength, and heart. He was a loving husband and father. He also considered each and every SEBA member as one of his family.
Grant was a man whose zest for life never faded, even in the face of his arduous treatments and procedures.
He taught us to confront challenges with faith, determination, and a little bit of humor, reminding us that laughter truly is the best medicine.
We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our members and community. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Memorial information will be shared in the coming days, once it is confirmed.
Cards or condolences can be sent to either the SEBA Office at 1998 Orange Tree Lane, Redlands, CA 92374
Or
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at 655 E. Third Street, San Bernardino, CA 92415
