During Black History Month, we honor George Anthony Moore ’34 — the first Black graduate of Saint Ignatius High School.
In the early 1930s, at a time of deep racial division in our country, Moore enrolled through determination, faith, and the support of Joseph Schrembs. His graduation in 1934 marked a historic moment for our school.
He went on to become one of the first Black journalists at a major Cleveland newspaper, a pioneer in early television at WEWS-TV, and a respected educator and civic leader.
His legacy continues through the George Anthony Moore ’34 Scholarship Fund and the annual George Anthony Moore ’34 Award.
Read more about his life on our website. 🔗 https://t.co/qcRPLQrB23
Rivals' @SWiltfong_ highlighted Michigan director of recruiting Sam Popper as one of the 'off-field recruiting stars of the 2026 cycle.'
"Michigan’s Director of Recruiting Sam Popper brings the juice in Ann Arbor and was crucial in the Wolverines signing the No. 11 class."
Michigan assistant DL coach David Denham is a top name to know to fill the DL job for the Wolverines with Lou Esposito's departure, sources tell @Balas_Wolverine and me for @On3.
Was previously Western Michigan's DL coach for five seasons.
