Pic for attention…
Just throwing ideas at the wall.
Say a guy was looking to get into a strip till bar, to spring apply his NH3. 24 row 30 inch planter, so want to go with 60’ bar. What bar would you look at? What row units?
Nobody does this in my area. A lot of variable solids here. Clay, sand, and muck all in the same pass on some farms. What are the challenges going to be?
@MaxROIFarmer My friends husband was doing training in Colorado I think it was with live grenades and he had an equipment malfunction as he called it and it detonated in, or just after it released his hand. He’s lucky to be alive and they were able to put his hand back together & functional
@tmonteIH Look into an ADS seed tender direct from Ag Dryer Services in Elm Creek NE. They have had several used ones in the winter time that are priced right I think. That’s where I picked ours up. They’re simple and reliable
Buy the Unicorn Method in 2027.
I’ll never feed you a line, and I’ll never sell you something I don’t genuinely believe can deliver an economic return on your farm.
Unicorn Fertilizer is my third child. If you’re in the “unlucky” 15% that doesn’t see an economic gain, it will honestly make me sick to my stomach until we figure out why and help you see one the following season.
For those I haven’t had a chance to talk with yet, things have finally slowed down enough that I can start working with new growers again.
I’m looking forward to spending this summer with what I believe are some of the most innovative, forward-thinking farmers in agriculture. Let’s see what we can accomplish together.w
@74Booger@BootscootinGMaw Your could cultivate and side dress at the same time. Common in the ridge till areas NE but total acres side dressed in a day will be less
Be a Unicorn in a field of horses.
Reject the need to buy more expensive fertilizer for 2027 because they tell you that you have to.
2025: 37 customers
2026: 119 customers
2027: ??
I appreciate you all immensely for having faith in what we are building.
@johnspigfarm Welcome to owning a 6R. Dishing out the wheels and widening out the front end made a big difference for me. Just not as much being thrown up from the tires is all I could figure. They need reversible fans from the factory
@_TheMizzouTiger First year I’ve owned a bulk fill planter & I’d say it’s easier to split & clean out once you catch on to it vs boxes. Just gotta have it planned out in advance as well as have a few pro boxes to throw how ever many bags in per field/trial so you can load and go quickly in season
Thinking about changing things up between now and next spring, so if anyone would be interested in a 16 row Krause Gladiator and a 16 row 1725 John Deere Exactemerge planter give me a shout.
If you run a 4830 sprayer this tip might save you a ton of cash.
Both rear hubs took a dump at 1500ish hours. I religiously changed hub oil with synthetic Deere oil every 100 hrs in the rears and didn’t fill them all the way “per Deere bulletin” , also tried other brands of 85/140 with no luck.
New hubs oil still looked like crap after 100hrs , switched to this hd460 reverser oil and it comes out non burnt and looking nice. I only add about 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 qts vs the 2+ manual calls for.
