People frame this as having something to do with legroom so frequently that it’s clear to me that they are just not understanding the complaint.

It’s about laptops and seat trays.

On many flights, if the guy in front of me reclines his seat, then my flight has gone from one in which I can use a laptop to one in which I cannot use a laptop. It’s basically binary.

He gets to be about 10% more comfortable in his seat and I’m suddenly on a flight that doesn’t allow laptops.
