@gullsinaa I agree, if the government controlled the internet it would take away everyone's individuality since they would only allow so much media to actually be displayed.
@JordansWeek I completely agree, I believe the internet should be a free space where people can express themselves with no restriction and the FCC would regulate that.
#2D03Media180 I believe that the FCC shouldn't regulate the internet because its something that is ever changing at an unregulated speed. If the FCC restricts the internet it would slow down some development. Not to mention how freedom of speech would be jeopardized.

Overall I really enjoyed Do the Right Thing (1989) looking at it as a whole but while watching the movie I was visibly shocked at the stereotype scene, they really didn't hold back which is something you don't see in much movies nowadays.
#2D03Media180 I believe the target audience for this ad is for men, specifically those who don't think that women shouldn't be treated equally in the workspace.
@JoannaCelia27 I agree, I believe having smaller โsub sectionsโ of media being consumed rather than one big one has caused some dissray in a larger community, but there still are smaller communities created.
Since now we have the ability to just let a show broadcast and binge it all this has created a dissonance in community because thereโs now no incentive to be up at a certain time or set an alarm to watch a broadcast. Traditional broadcast networks also apply to this.

The use of cable has only disrupted our sense of community because of it being replaced. Shows being broadcasted once a week that people have waited for and that had families gathered around the living room tv are now obsolete.
@JoannaCelia27 I agree with you're statement, since people are constantly consuming media it can be hard to form an independent idea. Especially in the political system, I feel like there are a lot of biases when it comes to that subject.
@EffraimAlone I agree, since media is such a vast subject its hard for it just to affect one side. In any system there's always someone for and against but for social media there can simply be people who spread misinformation as a joke which can definitely make an impact.

Social media has does foster the principal of freedom but harms the system. While it can be a tool to project the ideals of the ones who are unheard, it can also be a way to cause harm by having security in anonymity in saying whatever they like, true or false.
