@DRo_604 While this wasn’t my primary vote, I do believe it’s the best way to dramatically increase adoption. Personally I’d love the ability to embed this UI into internal tooling where we could define/restrict the services a task can be defined for. Eg: Only allow certain Lambdas.

@DRo_604 This would be tremendously helpful for those of us who use step functions on a regular basis. Even just supporting optional JSONPaths would be huge. Something like: ‘States.Default(“$.object1.optionalParam”, null)’

@tmclaughbos @lytlea You should be able to set InputPath to ‘$’ and not set Parameters. I believe this is also the default behavior if you don’t specify either InputPath or Parameters.

@edjgeek Step Functions are extremely powerful, use them daily. Unfortunately Lambda can’t be replaced for us until JSONPath can better handle things like optional paths. Eg: try to do a putItem on dynamo where multiple input values in the payload can be optional.

@tmclaughbos I run into this a lot. For me, I look for the systemic problems that never seem to get priority with the day-to-day teams, but I believe can provide significant benefits when properly addressed, and work on solving them.

@QuinnyPig @ubnt Then you are all set to run Protect. Just need to plug in a camera and go. I have a mix of G3 Flex and G3/G4 Pro’s running. The G4’s just introduced on camera object detection as well. Happy to send you some sample export clips from some cameras if interested.
