At the end of my sightseeing cruise last night I overheard a mother telling her kids that after this they would have to go to sleep.
But the kids said they didn’t want to go to sleep yet. The kids said they wanted more time.

Scruples about ranking Nobel laureates aside, publicly posting this strikes me as a fairly ill-advised career move for a PhD candidate. I can't imagine any upside and there is a fair bit of down side for getting known for stuff like this
I feel like this stuff goes viral because people's fears of being rejected when reaching out to others. I've mostly had success getting to know my (typically very nice) neighbors just inviting them to dinner

The most unbelievable part of this thread is that the professor responded to the student in any capacity. Fundamentally, if a student ever disagreed with me I would move on. Engaging with students does absolutely nothing to increase my h-index (currently at 0)
