An unforgettable evening celebrating art, culture, and community at Palate this past weekend. Thank you to @AgoraCLE for hosting us for yet another year, our incredible sponsors, the visionary honorees Doug Katz, Joanne Cohen, and Donna Huanca, the generous artists and collectors who contributed works to this year’s auction, and every guest who joined us in support of the mission of moCa Cleveland! A special thank you to Cleveland Field Kitchen and Chef Kelli Hanley Potts for curating an exceptional culinary experience that helped make the night truly memorable.
We’re excited for what’s ahead this season with more events, public programs, and community experiences on the horizon, and if this year’s Palate was any indication, Palate 2027 will be something you won’t want to miss.

From Joanne Cohen’s reimagining of healthcare through contemporary art, to Doug Katz’s ability to turn local ingredients into meaningful cultural experiences, to Donna Huanca’s boundary pushing practice that merges body, performance, and form, each honoree embodies innovation and impact.

This April, experience powerful storytelling, language, and memory through the work of Sky Hopinka at moCa Cleveland.
As part of the Cleveland Humanities Festival, moCa partners with Baker-Nord Humanities Center to present an artist talk exploring Hopinka’s interdisciplinary practice across film, photography, and text, centering Indigenous sovereignty, landscape, and the ways language carries culture.
Born in Ferndale, Washington, and a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation/Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians, Hopinka’s work draws from lived experience, place, and the teaching of chinuk wawa, a language of the Lower Columbia River Basin. His exhibition "The Myth is Now" is on exhibit through August 2nd.
