@PremLeaguePanel Played central when Dembelé wasn't available. Scored both legs against AS Monaco which surprisingly wasn't an easy tie for them, probably only because it wasn't April or May!#PSG#UCL
Both Wirtz actions for the goals are exactly what he is - a small space genius. Small space geniuses only get activated when you have proper ball progression. i.e. not full-backs who aren’t good passers and not midfielders who miss opportunities for passes or can’t weight a pass. Check the roles of Mittelstadt & Pavlovic to supply him in both moments.
Very good from Simon Jordan @Sjopinion10 👇
City & Abu Dhabi Inc are a wounded animal now. Push too hard & they’ll bite back with force - as we’ve seen with the Burnham comments, AD’s tentacles are all over the city of Manchester and in the upper echelons of the UK. They can bring lots of powerful people down & those people will be asking for grace to be shown. This is only going to get messier
‘Manchester Life’s success has come at a high price for the little people who just happen to live in the city. Not only have the assets they owned been sold cheap, they have got little back. The nine developed sites have no social or affordable housing, which the council’s planning officers justified with statements such as: “There is already a high level of affordable housing in the immediate area.” The same council admitted earlier this year that nearly 4,000 of the city’s children sleep each night in temporary accommodation.
‘As for tax, the sums paid to the Exchequer seem risible. One of its main subsidiaries earned more than £26m in the five years to 2021, but, the researchers found, paid less than £10,000 in tax – an effective rate of just 4p on each £100 of revenue.
‘It is right to say that New Islington and Ancoats are vastly more pleasant areas than they were even five years ago – but the big question is who has won from redevelopment and who has lost. Putting hard numbers on that is tricky when so much of the information about Manchester Life – a venture using public assets and public subsidy with a public authority – is kept strictly private.’

On his right-back choice, Tuchel cited Jarrell Quansah's defensive abilities in a back three, with Marc Guéhi often moving into midfield.
However, Quansah got forward as much as attacking-minded left back Nico O'Reilly, and was regularly in areas that would have suited Trent…
Same old story for England. Did not look very good in possession culminating in the errors by Guehi, NOR, Quansah and Anderson for goals/big chances. Decades long issues of setting good platforms in possession. And Tuchel’s choice of full-backs plus Anderson-MLS & Anderson-Garner double pivots, when he has Scott, Trent, Hall sitting on the bench and Wharton sitting at home certainly doesn’t help.
It feels like every game the England right back, playing because Trent isn’t good enough at defending, gives the opponent a goal
Whilst ya know, not being Trent with the football
For you culers moping about internationals and not being able to see the men's team play, don't forget that Femeni open their defense of its Champions League title tomorrow (23 Set) against Paris FC, then Roma on the 30th.
Watching some WSL as been asked to write an analysis about Manchester United. Think Eva Olid tactical ideas in attack – although they're not working yet – are good 👍
