@tspadventure Great read, thanks. I do the eyerolls at the people doing the long photo shoots. Especially when I see others trying to work around them to get their own photos. Different strokes 🤔 The 38 selfies seem silly to me but only bc our audience wants to see the place, not us 🤣

@SoloTravelStory A lot of people are miserable in their lives and spend too much time trying to either reassure themselves of how smart they are or making other people as miserable. I bite my tongue a lot on social media because there's just no benefit to engaging with them

@SoloTravelStory @b_aroundworld Long enough to get some basics down. We were able to grocery shop and eat in restaurants and get around for the most part. Certain pronunciations caused trouble and I had to have Google say it. We're going to spend a few months in South America, so I'm back to working on spanish

@b_aroundworld @SoloTravelStory Not according to that one guy over on threads 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Part of my struggle was a lot of words that look similar to Spanish or Italian but the pronunciation is different

@OnTheFlyblog1 We 'overspend' on accommodations. We key in on a decent kitchen, a comfortable space and a good location for walking or public transit. The few flights we take, we pay for legroom ('cuz I'm 6'2") and an easier schedule

@SoloTravelStory Headed to Narcissistic, for sure. Lot of folks think Copernicus was wrong about the center of the universe being the sun 🤣🤣 it's also a bit of the "I'm better than you" but they're trying to be subtle about it
