@taste_of_tbone hard to know. Chan is our local rep. She has always been good on Palestine, making good votes and statements for 2+ years. then Chakrabarti comes along, he also seems good on Palestine but has less experience. anyway we voted for Chan
@ape_hive@EdbieLigerSmith Isn't it amazing you're still holding a grudge from more than 40 years ago! Let's also go back and invade Vietnam again too! They killed way more Americans!
me & jumana's game "mangaka: the fast & furious game of drawing comics" was published in french! check it out and get a copy! https://t.co/dWySu64iVV
I love how every Republican has suddenly done a complete 180 along with Trump and decided they were never isolationist after all and that they love starting wars. Good job guys!
@RobSchneider It's amazing to me that you, who in 2014 expressed outrage over Israel killing people in Gaza, have become a pro-Israel, anti-Muslim crank. I actually watched your stupid show "Real Rob" in the 2010s just out of respect for you. Now you disgust me. You're a vile moral hypocrite
It’s amazing that any random pictures of Iranian cities (these 3 are all from today on Al Jazeera) will show women with their hair uncovered. But idiots will still make insane claims that women will be killed or imprisoned for not wearing the veil.
Can women get scolded or maybe fined if some morality police sees them? Possibly. Is this bad? Yes. But they are obviously not being arrested or *killed* (and never were killed even in Iran’s more restrictive 1980s) yet people will shamelessly LIE about this to support this war
@SFFAudio (Update: this dude Callois is good! In passing, in the lengthy introduction, he mentions the very same Arabic dream story you just sent me!! :D )
@SFFAudio How have you been? I haven't been on here much lately (I'm more on Bluesky) but I wanted to say, the Roger Callois book "The Dream Adventure" that you pointed me towards is EXCELLENT!! Found it in the public library!
Hope you're well!!
@SFFAudio "It was a wonderful coincidence!!"
Thank you! The Callois book discusses Chinese dream stories but not Arabic. I need to eventually read about Medieval Arabic dream tales, there are apparently a ton. All I have on the subject is a single issue of Arablit Quarterly about dreams
