This weekend, our committee made a decision. And now, we have something even more important—a chance to move forward together.

And I believe the best days of this committee are still ahead of us.

Before we look forward, we should take a moment to look back with appreciation. To those who have served this committee—who gave their time, knocked doors, made calls, organized events, and carried the weight when it wasn’t easy—your efforts were invaluable. You built the foundation we stand on today, and we are better because of you.

Now it’s time to build on that foundation—together.

It starts with something simple, but powerful: showing up.

If you are a member, I’m asking you to renew your commitment. Stay engaged. Stay involved. We need you.

If you’ve stepped away, I want to personally invite you back. There is a place for you here—and it won’t be the same without you.

And if you believe in what we’re building, bring someone with you. A friend. A neighbor. A family member. That’s how strong organizations grow—not all at once, but one person at a time.

We’re also looking for something more.

We need leaders.

If you have questions, we’re here to help. If you’re unsure, we’ll walk with you. No one has to figure it out alone.

Because the future of Loudoun County and Virginia will be shaped by those who choose to step in—not sit back.

And right now, we have important work in front of us.

Our immediate focus is getting our house in order, but it is also getting Loudoun voters to the polls to VOTE NO on the referendum to gerrymander Virginia. The early energy is real. People are showing up. They understand what’s at stake.

Let’s keep that going.

Talk to your neighbors. Call your friends. Share the message. Encourage others to vote. In the end, it’s not complicated—people talking to people is still the most powerful force in politics.

I was not involved in the RPV audit request or in the current Chairman’s decision not to participate. Like many of you, I first learned about it through reporting from @NickMinock.

I’m not going to speculate. Matters like this deserve facts — not commentary. But I will be clear about this:

If elected Chairman of the LCRC, my first action will be FULL COOPERATION with @VA_GOP regarding any audit request. Transparency is not a threat to a committee. It strengthens it.

As incoming leadership, we must know exactly where we stand financially. Members deserve clarity. Donors deserve confidence. Volunteers deserve assurance that the organization they support is operating responsibly.

This writer has been busy overseas—but even from afar, the signal cut through the noise: an absurd text message praising the worst Committee Chairman in the Commonwealth running for reelection demands a response.

There are political leaders.
There are political performers.
And then there is Scott Pio—the traveling production of The Emperor With No Clothes, sponsored by The Tiger King, financed by Bernie Madoff.

And somehow… people are still clapping.

Let’s talk about the text message promo — it reads like it was ghostwritten by a hostage blinking in Morse code.

🚨“No one works harder than Scott…”

Correct.

No one works harder at losing elections, alienating allies, and turning a functioning committee into a group chat nobody wants to open.

If this were high school, he’d
be running for class president while slandering everyone in the hallways and shoving them in lockers. Then he’d cry the football players and cheerleaders just don’t like him and that’s why he’s sitting alone at lunch.

🚨“Christian conservative values…”

This is where it stops being politics and starts being stand-up comedy.

Because somewhere out there—on video—is Mr. telling a group of Muslims he doesn’t care about Christian votes or white votes… only Muslim votes.

So which version is real?

The “Christian conservative champion”?
Or the guy pandering to the Muslims?

🚨“Outperformed every other committee…”

Ah yes. The Madoff Method™ of accounting.

If you inflate the numbers, hide the books, and refuse an audit when the state party asks for one…

Congrats—you’re not a high performer.
You’re a case study.

And when someone says, “Nothing to see here,” while blocking anyone from seeing anything…

There is, in fact, everything to see here.

🚨“Raised more money…”

No.

He sold tickets to a lavish event that lost money. And then did it again the next year.

That’s not fundraising.
That’s confusing “revenue” with “profit” and “confidence” with “delusion.”

You don’t put that person in charge of anything.

🚨“600 members…”

Sure.

600 members.
600 volunteers.
600 unicorns.

We wouldn’t know—because the list is locked up tighter than the nuclear codes.

And yet… somehow… with 600 members…

The Chairman can’t staff polls.
Can’t mobilize turnout.
And keeps losing.

At what point do we admit the number is less a fact… and more a bedtime story?

🚨“Picked up one more school board seat…”

This one deserves a standing ovation for pure audacity.

Amy Riccardi—the candidate he reportedly didn’t support in exchange for open doors to the Muslim center.
Who ran as an Independent.
Who won without him.

And now he’s taking credit?

That’s like not showing up to the group project… and then putting your name first on the presentation.

Let’s not forget the races he didn’t contest—
the other candidates he didn’t back—
the leadership vacuum he created that allowed actual radicals to take control of the school board.

🚨And then… the $20 fee.

Because nothing says “grassroots movement” like charging admission to participate in your own party.

Fun fact:
He wanted it to be $50.

Because apparently the only thing more consistent than his losses…
is his spending.

And the best part?

Even the money isn’t trusted with him.

It’s being held by the 10th District.

Imagine being the chairman…
and people want a 3rd party to hold the cash.

That’s not leadership.
That’s babysitting.

So here we are.

A leader who loses.
A brand built on numbers no one can verify.
A financial track record that requires creative interpretation.

And a messaging strategy built not on results, but on smear campaigns—where lying about others isn’t a tactic, it’s the entire playbook

Offices are slipping away that should have been ours.

Thank you for reaching out Gina. Those are good questions. I was a full time member when Sharon was chair. I worked with Patricia Phillips training new candidates. Mr Pio was one of those candidates and he refused to listen to anyone, and he lost his race in a landslide. After he became chair, I worked with Laura Robinson revamping the subcommittee section of the plan. I also volunteered to deliver flyers to voters. After trying to again talk with the chair, I determined that he was not helping people get elected and he would not listen to anyone who tried to help with alternative strategies. I remained an associate member in the hope that Loudoun County Republicans would start getting elected. After two more years of waiting with no successes and voting trends moving more to the Democrat side I decided to get involved to reverse the trend. Since the current chair would not listen to anyone and would not change trajectory, I decided to run for chair and get the committee back to getting republicans elected. I do have a lot of experience in managing a political organization, as well as an undergraduate degree in Management and if you want to know more, let’s sit down over coffee and we can share our experiences.
