I've always felt like devs focusing on compiled languages and devs focusing on transpiled/JIT languages, live in 2 different worlds.

I've done both. And I'm now in the 2nd group, all the way.

Once you feel the freedom and abilities in the 2nd group, you just can't go back.

Back in 2023, at my university, the "AI" classes were teaching Prolog and super boring logic.

No Python, transformers or Pytorch...

Today I just checked, and it's still the same.

Universities aren't keeping up.

No wonder people aren't joining and idealizing it anymore.

Almost no creative work or output feels impressive anymore, because of AI.

The dedication and time invested into your craft is disregarded and disvalued, because of AI.

And it sucks.

One way to become a better developer and raise your standards, is to follow more UI/UX designers and see what they're cooking.

Pre 2023:
- I made an app and a website! I learned a lot and it took 10 months!
- Wow, that's real skill and persistence, you're hired.

2026:
- I made an app and a website! (I paid for AI to build it and it took 1 week)
- Anyone can do that. Here, revert this binary tree.

If you like your current job and you're not "open to work" on LinkedIn, but you receive messages from recruiters for interviews, do you reply or not?

I used to. But now I think: I'm not "open to work"...

And if I write a polite message, doesn't that waste time for both of us?

I liked how easy and customizable it is! The UI and graph preview of the progress makes you visualize your goals, in my case reading and stretching more.

@nerston_ Decent advice, but not sharing what the app even does is sus. Which also devalues your story/message.
I guess the algorithm boosts these kinds of posts, which anyone could do.
Maybe I'll try it out someday lol

Maybe open-source was a psy-op to make developers publish their code for free and make it feel like the world is all sunshine, rainbows and full of benevolent people coding at Starbucks.
So it would make the corporations rich, hoard data, steal code and build the AI we have now.

I expected to go from "slow news and formal content" on LinkedIn to "what's happening news and raw information" on X.

But I ended up finding developers whining, seeking validation and wasting their time discussing AI.

If you say you don't read code:
1. You're lying - You're exaggerating and rage-baiting
2. You really don't - Your code is guaranteed to be messy, unoptimized and have bugs. Plus, you're not learning or you're loosing your skills.

Are you really a dev/SWE if you don't read code?

There's solo-founders on X worried and discussing their X payouts when their SaaS or app isn't really working out.

Plus, they are subscribed (paying) to other X creators...

Make it make sense.

There's many solo-founders, maybe because we want to:
- Be lone wolfs
- Gather all the experience
- Autonomy

But also because it's hard to trust each other. Idea stealing, profit splits, discussions...

But together, outputs are greater.

Here's a problem, now build a solution.

Every solo-founder talks about having unique products and solving problems, but I still see them building a SEO SaaS, habit trackers, idea validation SaaS, analytics dashboards, etc.

They built with AI. The UI looks AI. And paid for AI...

But can't find truly different ideas.
